I didn't go to any counselor for tips on how to save a marriage. I just pondered over the matter for a few nights, sitting on the porch, observing the stars in the sky. I asked a few questions to myself - what was the thing that sparked the chemistry between us a year ago? What made our romance bloom in the first few months of our marriage? Then it struck me. I got my answer! I knew how to save my marriage! Let me share this with you.

For Women...

• Cook his favorite dish
• Make some coffee for him while he's relaxing
• Let him have his time with the guys
• Place the morning paper in his favorite reading corner
• Keep his clothes, files, and car key ready when he's preparing for office

For Men...

• Get some flowers for her
• Call her or send a message through your cell phone from the office once in a while
• Help her in doing the dishes after dinner or help her in preparing the dinner
• Surprise her by fixing up her favorite snack
• Buy the dress that she's being eying for a long time at the store- that will really please her

These are the little things that make a huge difference in a relationship. And these are the same things that we tend to overlook thinking that they are insignificant. And then we despair and cry, "Save my marriage!" To show your partner that you care, you need not purchase diamonds or throw a party at home. A single rose or a little help with the chores is enough to make your partner feel loved.

And yes, the famous three little words, "I love you" never fail to create the desirable effect on your partner!

I made it a point to say "I love you" to my partner whenever he was off to work. And when he returned, I would hug him. At first, he was surprised. But I knew he felt nice. In fact, we both come closer and our petty quarrels became less and less.
